LIE

A sizzling adaptation of the novel Diferente by Puerto Rican writer Javier Ávila, Miente tells the story of Henry, an introverted young artist who treads a fine line between fantasy and reality. His humdrum routine working in a video store is in direct contrast with his vibrant, chaotic artwork. His life is suddenly transformed when he meets beautiful Paula (Mariana Santangelo), a stunning blue-haired photographer and Diff (Frank Perozo) a street guitarist who saves Henry from an assault and takes him on a joyride into the underbelly of San Juan de Puerto Rico.

Miente is the directorial debut of Rafi Mercado, director, producer and designer, known for his irreverent work for the Latin Grammy Awards. He has worked on music videos for Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin among other artists.
