Jorge Aparicio (Fito) he uses both film and digital cameras supplemented by CS3 Photoshop and NX Nikon advanced photo editor. His preferred work is in improvised, un-posed moments capturing the ambience of an event through the use of scenic lighting. Fito has considerable experience as a “live music” documenter. His works include photos of National Folk Festival Canberra, Nida, Domain, The Factory, Darling Harbour Latin Festival, Macquarie University and Casula Powerhouse.
Since arriving from Peru, Fito has developed a unique style combining photo journalism and his passion for music, light and colour.
His most current work features an exploration of the portrait, expressing moods and the atmosphere in his images. His portraits are more than “pictures of people” They combine personality, form, and the environment into a single, magical image.
