Amigos, we're celebrating Marrickville's mixed up melting pot of cultures, Latin-style. Come join us for a bumper night of Latino film, visuals and music under the stars and the occasional A380, on the green at the Addison Road Community Centre.
There's nothing like a themed event right? Well, we've been inspired by the cowboys and lush countryside of Argentina - the backdrop for our feature presentation, El ultimo verano de la boyita (The Last Summer of La Boyita) and we're going "gaucho". Expect fiesta-style party lights, hay bales and of course asado (that's a seriously authentic Argentinean BBQ). After the film DJ Spex will be spinning tunes best described as “inner-west meets wild west Latino-style” with visuals to boot!
Gauchos aside; did you know that Addison Road Community Centre is home to Casa Latinoamericana - a long standing meeting place for Latinos in the inner west? Our event pays homage to the wonderfully vibrant Latino community that calls Casa Latinoamericana "home". Amigos - we doff our (cowboy) hats to you.
So bring a picnic blanket and start your weekend with a gaucho-style "bang". Latino food and drinks available on the night. Unclassified 15+
The film will be presented by Argentine Consul General - Ricardo Bocalandro
