Kids Clothes Swap

June 24th 1pm – 2pm
Gumbramorra Hall
Addison Community Centre, Marrickville, New South Wales 2204
We believe local actions have a global impact. That’s why we’re putting on this Clothes Swap Party as part of Pachamama Festival 2017. Note: This event is particularly aimed at children and parents.
How it works:
1. You bring clothes you don’t need anymore (clothes should to be in relatively good condition)
2. You take what you need. That easy ☺Any leftover clothes will be donated to organisations working with people that will benefit from having them. This means less clothes to landfill, more clothes to a good home!Participation is free.

More info:
If you are a parent you probably know that Kids grow fast, right? This mean you end up with piles of things you don’t need in your closet or storage, until eventually you declutter and throw it away.

But did you know Aussies are the second- largest consumers of new textiles after north America sending around 85% of clothes to landfill each year? This means in average Aussies get an average of 27 kilograms of new textiles each year and then discard 23 kilograms into landfill – and two-thirds of this are manmade fibres, which take decades to rot.

Presented as part of Pachamama Festival 2017 and supported by Inner West Council’s Open Inner West and Addison Road Community Centre.
