Opening Night: Live Music, Spoken Word & VR

| Friday 23rd June 6.30pm @ ADDISON RD COMMUNITY CENTRE, MARRICKVILLE

Following a booked out Pachamama Festival last year, we are excited to announce another special Festival Opening Night 2017

Live Music: Created specially for Pachamama Festival, Alma Music (featuring QVLN, Marcus Corowa and Lilian Guerrero), headlines the evening with a rapturous Latin-Australian fusion mixing traditional and contemporary styles unlike anything you’ve heard before!

Spoken Word: Spoken word is back at Pachamama with performances by eminent Sydney slam poets Fiona McILroy, John Seed, Sea, Matias Carreño, Anonymous, and duo Matthew & Anagha riffing on the theme “act local, change global”.

Dance Performance: Kathleen Gonzalez is back at Pachamama with new performance “Global Waters”. This beautiful piece raises awareness of the water problems we collectively face today.

Virtual Reality: Take a virtual reality journey to the land of indigenous elder Nyarri Morgan and the Martu tribe with Collisions in the remote Western Australian Pilbara desert with a VR experience running throughout the festival.

Drinks + traditional food for purchase round out this spectacular evening not to be missed.

6:00pm for 6:30pm

Presented as part of Pachamama Festival 2017 and supported by Inner West Council’s Open Inner West
