Indigenous stories from around the world have long spoken about ‘star people’ who have revealed themselves to shamans or medicine men through visions. This is the extraordinary story of one such event in modern times of a famous encounter of a young boy named Juan in the north-east of Argentina in the 1970’s. Since that time Juan has lived a solitary existence on a remote farm, ridiculed and unable to come to terms with his experience.
The filmmaker together with the help of famous astrophysicist Jacques Vallée and Guarani Indigenous elders, begin an epic journey to help Juan in understanding the deep meaning of his close encounter.
