Universe Truffle Making: Chocolate Workshop
Sat 16th June | 12pm
My name is Gabi Soares and I learned to make chocolate with my mother when I was 14.
We use this as a bonding and fun time together and for over 10 years we produced homemade chocolate in Brazil. During Pachamama Festival, I will share with you my liqueur chocolate truffle secret recipe.
Truffle is a type of chocolate made with a ganache centre coated in cocoa powder. During this hands-on workshop, you will have a lot of fun learning how to make delicious truffles to impress your friends and family. You will also learn some chocolate making techniques like piping and dipping, as well as the art of tempering.
Yes, licked clean bowls are allowed!!!! And at the end, you will be able to take some of your own truffles creations home.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 8+ however all minors must be accompanied by an adult. Please note liqueur and boiling water are used in this recipe.
Presented as part of Pachamama Festival 2018 and supported by Inner West Council’s Open Inner West.
